Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) and the EKC organizing committee are pleased to announce a newly created Rail Award to recognize an excellent researcher among EKC participants with prospective technology applicable to the rail sector for improvement.

The candidates will be those who have submitted their abstracts to EKC 2015 presenting applicable technologies to railway engineering and its policy by way of a multidisciplinary approach based upon creative ideas and researches. Each abstract will be reviewed for evaluation by KRRI technical board and the selected finalist will be awarded during the conference.

The qualified winner shall be a Korean corresponding or first author of his/her paper to receive a 1,000 EUR award and a plaque at the EKC banquet on July 24, 2015. The corresponding author of the paper will be given a priority over the first author. However, no prize shall be awarded if KRRI technical board fails to find an appropriate candidate.
